The services that I offer primarily fall under two areas; Virtual Events and Technical Support.
Virtual Events
I can either help stream your actual event, or I can set up a system that will allow you to do that, in your house of worship or meeting space.
Live Event Support
I am able to capture and stream your live event. I can show up with my own equipment, or I can tap into any available equipment at the venue. Benefits of hiring me to stream your live event:
- Multi-angle high-resolution video. Take your event to the next level by being able to switch between different cameras, which allows the camera that is not currently live to change the angle or magnification, so that when you switch to that camera, you can zoom in on a speaker, or capture some other aspect of the event.
- Professional Effects. You can choose how you transition between different camera angles; a quick cut or a fade. You can also do picture in picture, as well as lower thirds, among many other effects.
- Better control of the event. If you’d like to have smoother transitions between different speakers and shared materials, as well as better management of remote attendees, I can use the abilities of the streaming platform (either Zoom or others) to make sure your event is not interrupted.
- Better ability to deal with technical problems. I have over 15 years of general IT experience, which uniquely enables me to address technical problems with streaming and the computers that stream.
- Better audio. A good audio experience for remote attendees is challenging, but I have the experience and tools to make it happen, either using an available system in the room, or using a totally separate system brought in for the event.
- Higher quality recording. After the event, you will have a high quality recording that you can watch at your leisure.
You can often run your own event, and in many situations, that is totally appropriate. Not all events need to be highly polished, and sometimes running your own event can add to the immediate and intimate feel of it. But if you need to focus on what is actually happening in the room, and if you want the event to run smoothly and have a professional appearance for the people watching remotely, you can hire me to be there in person and take care of the streaming.
Streaming System Set Up
Using my 4 years experience running virtual events and computer expertise, I can help design and implement a system that can be run by one volunteer, and can help you grow your audience, delivering a much better experience for people watching remotely. I stay informed about the latest advances, and will help craft a system that performs well, but doesn’t have unneeded, complex, and expensive features. This system will have multiple camera angles, and the ability to zoom in and capture facial expressions, and high quality audio. After installation, I am happy to help add elements to your system, as well as maintain them to keep them running well. More Info ……
Technical Support
In my career in Information Technology, I have worked at many levels, from basic support to upper management. Throughout the whole time, I have consistently worked to marry technical expertise with empathic people skills, so that I can deliver the best computer support possible, and allow both the individual and the organization to work more efficiently.
Help for individuals
- Hardware. New computer, new phone? No problem. I can help you choose the right device and get it running like you want.
- Software. Do you ever get stopped dead in your tracks because you can’t do something that you know should be easier, or because you forgot? I can fix that.
- Security. Cyber Security can be complex and intimidating, but I can help you focus on the important elements.
I can help in person or remotely. There is a one hour minimum for in person visits, but only a 15 minute minimum for remote help. You can call me, and I can either help you right then over the phone, or schedule some time when I can.
Help for organizations
I can help your small business or organization with computer tasks, whether it is dealing with email issues, on-boarding new users, purchasing new equipment, or developing best practice procedures that you can implement yourself. Growing organizations will eventually need a dedicated IT person on staff, but I can help you put that off as long as possible, to deliver you cost effective solutions that can help you and your org succeed.
